Target archery. Beginners can use club equipment (recurve bows) before buying their own equipment. Members shoot recurve, barebow, longbow and compound.
St. Neots Bowmen has over 120 members from 8 to over 80 years old. Most members shoot recurve bows, though we also have longbow, barebow and compound archers. We are lucky enough to have exclusive and year-round use of both our outdoor range (where we can shoot up to 100yds/90m), and even luckier an indoor range (where we can shoot up to 25m).
We organise club shoots where we shoot scoring rounds to Archery GB rules 5 times every week, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Outside of these club shoots members can use both ranges for practice.
We do not have separate events for juniors – our junior members shoot alongside adult archers at all our club shoots. Where adult members can use both indoor and outdoor range at all times, junior members are only allowed to shoot when an adult archer is present on the range.
2 courses running in 2017. First in May (6th, 13th, 20th and 27th), and second one in September (2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd). Cost is £40 covering all four sessions. We also organise Have-a-go sessions on April 22nd, June 17th, July 22nd and August 19th. For more info see our website.
